Last week, global fast casual chain Caliburger unveiled its newest employee: “Flippy,” a cutting-edge robot that can grill, flip, and plate burgers, thanks to computer vision and heat sensors. It’ll start behind the stoves in early 2018. On the heels of this announcement, the restaurant also rolled out automated ordering at its Pasadena, California location. Caliburger is just one of a cluster of food industry innovators redefining customer experience with AI.
